Start to Finish App for iOS devices

Students access books on iPads, mobile devices or computers
They put headphones on, read, and take the end of chapter quiz
Each student will read and comprehend Moby Dick, Anne Frank and Macbeth and a whole library of other books!
The whole class can read the same book at the same time—onsite or at home

iBooks Author -- Available free on the Mac App store, iBooks Author is an amazing new app that allows anyone to create beautiful Multi-Touch textbooks — and just about any other kind of book — for iPad. With galleries, video, interactive diagrams, 3D objects, and more, these books bring content to life in ways the printed page never could.There are also "review" tools that allow the author to create multiple choice and drag and drop questions.

iBooks 2 is the updated eReader that takes advantage of many of the iPad's interactive and multimedia features in textbooks. Books created in iBooks Author can be read in this app.

iTunes U is now a separate app for the iPad that contains thousands of free courses. More importantly, any educator can now create courses to teach anyone who is interested

Copy/paste text or create text - app then calculates Flesch score and Flesch Kincaid grade.

Go to www.sunncastle.com and click on FREE stuff. If you are on a ipod/ipad select a pdf and select open in iBooks. To have it read out loud complete the following:

1. Go to Settings

2. Select General

3. Select Accessibility

4. Voice Over - Turn On

5. Go to iBooks

6. Select the PDF that you have loaded

7. Tap the screen to begin to read your document!
